  1. Many people have different ideas on what Hitler was like. Most would say he was a mean person, on account of the Holocaust. But, if Hitler's crimes against humanity were removed from the spotlight, what would we find underneath? During his childhood Hitler described himself as "argumentive". His brother said he was quick to anger. As he grew up to become the dictator of Germany, he dealt with his enemiues harshly. Hitler also seemed like he had patience, and was a smart boy as a kid. During his rise to power he bided his time and didn't rush into things too swiftly. He cared about the transformation of the German society. Hitler was interested in things like social mobility, better housing for his workers, modernizing industry, and creating a welfare system. He truly believed that his Nazis were the perfect race.

Hitler first entered politics when he was ordered to investigate a group known as the German Workers' Party. While was undercover in one of their meetings, a man stood up and made a suggestion that 'infuriated' Hitler. Hitler stood, and arugued uninterrupted with the man for over fifteen minutes. He then left the meeting. A few days later Hitler received a postcard saying he'd been accepted into the German Workers' Party. After much thinking, he accepted the invitation.

  2. hitler was a very strange person who would talk to himself and even yell at himself when no one was around he always spoke his mind.
hitler had many politcal jobs. A couple of them being a Chancellor of Germany and the President of Germany. He was very popular with the people because they believed everything he said was true. ANother reason would be that people also followed them because they were scraed he would kill them.

  5. Ryan, I agree with you that Hitler was a strange person and that people would follow him. What I don't think is right is that Hitler killed them because he thought they were "bad" for what they believed in.

  6. What really bothered me about Hitler was who he was before his craze for power. I found some interesting childhood stories of Hitler as I researched. As a student, he had a poor record in school, which may not of got him a good reputation. He dropped out of high school and started his life career as an artist. Later, he gave up that career to go into the German Army. I've never really thought Hitler as a recreational person. During his time in the Army, he quickly rised in his rank. In January 30, 1933, Hitler became Chancellor of Germany (like a secretary to the president), which got him close to the highest rank in the military. There are many reasons for his lust for power. One answer states that Hitler saw his chance to take over the world, once German president Paul von Hindenburg, died in August 2, 1934. At the same time he took the rank of Führer (president). Some people as well said it was his family destiny to lead a German army and take over the world. The German Parliament passed The Enabling Act, which gave Hitler power as a dictator. He had a chance to take over the world, but this all turn out into World War 2. Many weird and interesting events happened during the war, but all woud never occur if Hitler never had this kind of past.

  7. Sam,that's pretty interesting that Hitler would argue a lot even as a child. Maybe that's how he became such a powerful ruler during World War II. And 15 minutes? I don't think anyone would want to challenge Hitler after that.

  8. i agree with you ryan because hitler was a strange person but you also forgot he was a failure in life because he wanted to be a artist but he got kicked out twice by a jew so thats what i think went wrong

  9. Ryan, I agree with your post, Hitler was a bit crazy. He talked and yelled at himself but he was also a very important political figure, so that made people believe what he was saying to be true even though it wasn't true all the time. People also believed him because if they didn't he had the power to just kill them

  10. Zifeng, I agree that he was basically a school drop-out and had a lust for power and that the only reason that he gained power to become Führer and a dictator of Germany is because of the Enabling Act, passed by the German government.

  11. Sam: It makes scents that Hitler was a smart kid growing up. Arranging to have 11 million people killed must have took alot of brain power.

Zifeng: I don't understand that if Hitler was such a smart child, why would he drop out of high school?

  12. When Hitler was growing up he wanted to be an artest but his father wanted him to enter the a "Habsburg civil service." Hitler fought with his father for many years, and in the end Hitler got what he wanted,he became a artest. Hitler entered politics when he join a small group that later became one of the bigest groups in germany in two years. the group was called german workers party, later when it got bigger in was then called the Nazi party. thats the same way that became popular, thats also how he became chancellor. Since his group was on of the biggest groups in germany they had the most votes and so who ever they voted would most likey win the election.

  13. What Sam said makes me have a greater understanding of why Hitler become a dictator, it's funny because Sam said he argued a lot which shows that he controlled over Germany

  14. Zifeng Z. definately dug deep. Not the star pupil that every teacher wants but definately had intelligence. As an artist, I wouldn't know what he would have created before his hatred became apparent. Was there any recorded paintings of Adolf Hitler's work?

  15. How did Hitler become president?
When Paul von Hindenburg dies in august 1934, Hitler gains power of the presidency. How did Hitler treat people? Hitler treat people wrong in my eyes because kill Jews in won’t tell anybody so he won’t lose power of president. Who is Hitler? Hitler is Aloid Schickelgruber that was Hitler real name before he changes it to Hitler. Hitler was boring 1876. Hitler dies of suicide because he was about get bet.

  16. Morgan: I agree with you. But why would Hittler be normal as a young kid and then grow up to be a complete freak? I don't understand and plus why would you want to kill 11 million people? I wouldn't have the gut to kill anyone in my life unless they were trying to kill me. But i do agree with you that he was a crazy person and he obviously needed help but what do you think made him change?

  17. I agree with you Ryan because some one that would yell at him self or talk to him self is kind of crazy. He also killed him self which was not so bad for the jews but it still made him crazy.

  18. Sam, it is not surprising to hear that Hitler was a very smart when he was young. It took a lot of thinking for him to kill all the innocent people. The fact that he was so smart allowed him to persuade the Jews to do what he said.

  19. When Hitler was growing up his father wanted him to be in the army. When his father dies, and his mother was dieing of cancer, he perswaded his mother to let him persue hiod dream to be an artists. He eventually quit that career and moved to munich whike he was there he joined the german Army. In 1921 hitler gained controll over the Natzi party. He planed an attack but her faild and was arrested and served 6 months in jail. He was forbiddin to makew public speeches. He later ran for Presadint and he got 30% of votes. He lost the election and he enterd coalition government as Chancellor.

  21. Dee Dee, your post really suprised me. I never knew that Hitler was president before. An intriguing fact that I learned from your post is that Aloid Schickelgruber was Hitlers real name. Last but not least, I never really knew how Hitler died, but now I know it was from suicide.

  22. Wow michael i cant believe this is true. I would've thought his dad was crazy thats why he wanted to kill all the jews.

  23. I agree with you jamal hitler was crazy and thats one reson why he killed jews.hitler had a very crazy and wild mind it metions in a artcle that hitler always thought about comitting sucide even when he was a little boy
becuse his father beat him a alot. like they say what comes around goes aroud meaning hitler was mean and cruel to jews like his father was to him and your right if the russians got to him he would of bin in big troble and it comes to show u how mean and cruel hitler was and how he was treated as a kid

  24. Hitler got into politics because when he was a soldier back in World War 1 he did not like how the soldiers were treated and he wanted to change that. he Wantted soldiers to be treated right because of all they do. I was suprised when i heard this because people think that he is a mean person which in fact after all he did thats not a shock but he entered politics because he cared about what people were doing to the people that protected them.

  25. Zifeng's post really painted a picture about Hitler's life. I didn't know most of that information, like how he dropped out of school to become an artist! I had no idea he had such a troubled past. Hitler was still a horrible person, so I have trouble sympathizing with him. Hitler was a menace to society.

  26. Mace i agree with you, honestly...
