Explain how persecution took place in Germany. Who other than the Jews were persecuted? Describe the sterilization program. Select 3 significant actions taken by Hilter from 1933 to 1939 that impacted the lives of Jewish people and other groups in Germany.
My first question was Who other than the jews were persecuted?
ReplyDeleteThe authors words: Roma(gypsies),the disabled,Poles,Russians, and othe slavic people.they also killed political, ideological, people with behavior problems communistist socialist, jehova witnesses, and homosexual people.
My words: It is a shame to see that they killed people for their race or even what sex they liked.if someone did that in our world to day they would be sentenced to death or even life in prison.i dont think that hitler should have even got this far to begin with i think that some one along the way should have found that what he was doing was wrong and inhuman. but know everybody was scared just like the Gruber family that we are reading about, they did not want to help Riva's family because that would have got them killed but somewhere along the way somewhere along the way someone should have stood up.
My second question is What is the sterilization program?
the authors words:The usual method of
sterilization was vasectomy and ligation of ovarian tubes of women. Irradiation (xrays or radium) was used in a small number of cases.
Several thousand people died as a result of the operations, women disproportionately because of the greater risks of tubal ligation. also the jews were considered aliens. The Nazis killed the unfit or the ones with dieases. they called them "life unworthy of life".
My words:
Why would youeven consider another human being as an ALIEN. It is sad and even rediculous. Its sad to see that they would even risk this procedure. It kills so many people. that is just as sad as slavery. But this is so much worsethey thousand of inocent people. If someone could even think about killing people i so badly wonder what is going through their mind and personally i think that they need to go to the mental hospital or they need to feel the pain that they have caused all kinds of families by following out the plans of the most evil guy in the world. But that is just my opinon

In Hitler's eyes, all these types of people were considered bad. Hitler wanted perfection in not only race, but physically and mentally. Hitler tortured these people in many different ways such as mobile gas vans at the Chelmo extermination camp, gas chambers in Auschwitz, imprisoned in camps, and even being shot. People with a genetic disorder was considered unfit to have children. This was the wrong thing to do because it is not their fault they have these diseases.
ReplyDeleteAmong the groups which the Nazis and their collaborators murdered and persecuted were: Gypsies, Serbs, Polish intelligentsia, resistance fighters from all the nations, German opponents of Nazism, homosexuals, Jehovah's Witnesses, habitual criminals, and the "anti-social," e.g. beggars, vagrants, and hawkers. (i think the question is who didnt they persecute?) [got this off the jewish virtual library]
ReplyDelete3 significant actions hitler had taken from 1933 to 1939 that impacted the lives of jews were 1-he had his army surround the jews and other groups and then he forced them into concentration camps.(hitler is a dodo head cootie queen) 2-he held germen women captive in breeding farms and tried to make "perfect babies" and any baby with a birth defect, they killed. (:-0) 3-Those that he didn't kill outright, he enslaved and worked to death.
ReplyDeleteThanks Thomas. I think that what you said is true the fact that they thought about the jews like that because their reliegion said they had to. Like I said it is sad to see this and to hear about it over and over again but lets just hope that history at this period of time does not repeat its self. And I hope that more people than me can see my way.
ReplyDeleteCaila Gentner
Jews were killed in concentration camps and it is very SADDDENING.
ReplyDeleteSasse those are some bad things they did trying to make perfect babies not every one is perfect so why even try. I think that hitler should have killed himself long before he did. as soon as these thoughts popped in to his head to be more percise.

one of my three questions i had for this topic is who were the first people that were persecuted? i couldnt really find the exact answer but i did find out that Poland was the first target that hitler wanted to attack. Maybe this was because poland is much closer to germany.
ReplyDeletemy next question was about the sterilization program. i found out that the sterilization program was to try to make the society perfect in a way cause the nazis wanted to get rid of or take away defects. the number one way to do this was surgey. some examples would be vasectumys and ligaton surgery for women. mostly women died cause of the ligation surgey.
my last question i had was how did Hitler impact the jewish people lives? i found or realized that Hitler was basically killing the Jewish people. Because he disliked them and thier belifes.
Blake, I agree with what you said. Just because one person has a disease does not mean they shouldn't have a normal life. Everyone has flaws and makes mistakes and we shouldn't judge or be judge because of them.
ReplyDeletemy frist question i had was how did Hitler impact the jewish people lives? i found or realized that Hitler was basically killing the Jewish people. Because he disliked them and thier belifes.
ReplyDeletemy 2nd Question What was the sterilization program? On july 14 1933 the Nazi dictatiorship fulfill the long held dreams. Men and women suffered.
my 3rd question is what was there living condisons? prisoners in camp received meals three times a day morning and evening and noon
The persecutin in germany was were many other races, religions, sexuality, and disabilities that were persecuted. These people include homosexuals, gypsies, soviet prisoners of war, russians, poles, communists, liberals, disabled and incurable people, other political dissidents, and Jehovah's witnesses. Adolf Hitler's sterilization program got rid of everyone with a disease or disabiltiy. This was horrible because these people had no choice in having these problems and they were killed because of it. All in all Hitler was a horrible man because of what he did. The perfect race was what Hitler was in search of. He did all of these things just to fufill this.
ReplyDeleteNot only did the Jews suffer persecution but others did as well. Roma's otherwise known as Gypsies were killed and the people that had mental or physical disabilities were killed. This was awful that you got killed for being different than what the rest of the world was.
ReplyDeleteThe Nazi's didn't want babies being different from the next one that was to be born. Hitler only wanted blonde hair and blue eyes, which he didn't have himself. The sterilization would be put into the expecting mothers of the German heritage so they could have Hitler's idea of "perfect" children. I think you should allow the kids to come out as they are not control what they look like.
Hitler took action to restore the pride of Versailles, Germany. If he failed he would face sudden death, like some of the unhealthy Jews. Hitler wanted the "pure" empire and Jews weren't apart of that empire. To be singled out because of the religion and not wanted in an empire is wrong and shouldn't be tolerated. One last thing he did was announce that he was going to make the Jews all live in a teritory that was under his control.
thomas i think the same way about how the Nazis thought about the Jewss it was wrong just because of who there were'
ReplyDeleteMy first question was based on finding out different ways the Nazi killed people and it was just aweful! The fact that people were possibly paid to think up different and more "efficient" ways to kill someone is disterbing. I still can't believe the Nazi had a small enough heart to be able to walk away from something like a full gas chamber and not be concerned or mornful in the least bit (and if they were, it sure doesn't show).
ReplyDeleteFor my next question i researched the difffernt people they persecuted, and to be honest, I don't understand how they would have any people in Germany left after this. Political people against the Nazi, homos, gypsies, asians, jews, injured, disabled, deformed people were all persecuted. You were extra safe if you had blonde hair, blue eyes ontop of none of the things they hate. Heck, even if your aunt had one of these problems you were under concideration to be persecuted. Hitler hated EVERYONE!
My last question was to research the sterilization program. Apparently it was a law put into place to allow people with mental or physical disabilities to be killed. This included people with the recessive trait, too. This was supposed to be a step forward to creating the "perfect race". WHAT EVER! How on Earth could someone favor that law? It is sick. As if enough people weren't already dieing.
I Hate The Holocaust.
My horible topic was PERSECUTION IN GERMANY and I would just like to warn you that this topic is heartbraking and personaly I cant beleive people had the heart to do this. The first question I had on this topic is WHAT IS PERSECUTION: Perection is treating someone different just because they're not the same as you. I find that very wrong everyone is different that is what makes us human. This world would be very boring if everyone was the same.H'S WIT
ReplyDeleteMy next question is WHO OTHER THAN THE JEWS WERE PERSECUTED: The notzies were so selfsentered that they even killed Jehovah's witness and Insert people.
Last but not least, the last question is DESCRIDE THE STERILIZATION PROGRAM: People that had desaeses like: feeblemindedness, schizophrenia, manic-depressive disorder, genetic epilepsy, huntington's chorea, genetic blindness, genetic deafness, severe physical deformity, and chronic alcoholism
The people who were persecuted in Germany were Jewish, homosexuals,Soviet prisoners of war, polish, mentally and physically retarted,Gypsies, and communists. the nazis killed them because they thought they were inferior to them. A total of about 16 million people were killed by the nazis.
ReplyDeleteBlake, I agree that Hitler had been desiring the perfect race on Earth. If he didn't like one person, he would punish all of those who were similiar to him/her at concentration camps, which could kill/torture them quickly or in a painfully slow. But I think that the sterilization programs went a little too far. Not to be cruel, but if I was Hitler, I would allow any worker to...mate? The more children means more workers for me and if they don't pull their weight in work, they will suffer a terrible death. And with those who were sick, I would make sure my soldiers were protected from disease and seperate the sick from the healthy.
ReplyDeleteCaila I agree with you completely. He should have been executed. This whole thing was planned by Hitler and his Nazi's and I'm pretty sure that some one should have known what Hitler was going to do because these rumors spread. Also I agree with you because people should not be killed because of their beliefs because it is their choice to choose there religion and what they want to be and do for their lifetime and no one person should be able to get in the way of some ones dreams and hopes.
ReplyDeleteCAVA's thoughts on the matter were difficult to read. Not because of his errors but of Hitler's "solutions" to gaining a perfect society. Hundreds of ways that ends lives, thousands of ways to allienate yourself, only 1 person had done so. I'm amazed that all these diverse people held in the palm of Death's hand were not missed or "wanted back" by their respective countries. Persecution seems like a group thing involving the persecutor and the idle witnesses.
ReplyDeleteRyan, I dont understand how killing 16 million people was allowed? I think that it is horibble to kill people in the first place, especially mentally and physically retarded people.
ReplyDeleteWhitney: I agree that killing 16 million people should NOT be allowed. Why should anyone have to suffer? I know for a fact that Hitler didnt want to be killed so why should other people be killed? What he did was extremly wrong and he needed serious help.
ReplyDeleteMy first question was who other than the Jews were persected? And in my words Nazari murdered of millions of in other groups including ethinc Poles,Romani Sovlet civiltians sovlet prisoners of war people disabilites, homosexual Jehovan witness and other political and religous.
ReplyDeleteMy second questions was describe the sterilization program? And in my words There was 2oo,ooo and 250,000 mentally and physical handicapped persons were murdered from 1939+1445 under the T-y same suffered from diease considered heridenter such as a mental illness.
My third question was What were the three actions that hitler took that impacted Jews? And in my words The three actions was forced labor decree issued for polish Jews aged 14+60 and yellow stars required to be wom by polish Jews over age 10 And Evacaution of Jews from Vienna.
i truley do NOT understand how the whole world could not stop this one cold-hearted man from killing 16 million people and possibly more. this was a unexplainable and hatful act from hitler and the nazi's. if this happened in present time what would you do? i bet nobody would deal with racism if it came back into the picture. so my question is why would our relitives not have the courage to stand up for themselves and each other? i mean really think about this, give me a reason, a good reason; why did all this happen? don't have an answer? i didnt expect you to to have one ...
ReplyDeletei am so sorry but i forgot to mention that the nazi's did not only kill the jews. hitler also had homosexuals, the disabled, the weak, poles, and roma's(gypsies) killed in horribale ways. and this also goes for the people who tried to help them. for example in the story were reading now, a nazi pulled a pregnant woman out of a run line and kicked her down for getting tired. the woman landed on her pregnant stomach and let out an ear percing scream. a man reached his hand out at her to help the poor thing up. before she even could get her hand out to him, the nazi took the end of his rifle and bashed his head in with it. he fell to the floor screaming and blood in his hands from his busted skull. the nazi's also took people threw a sterilization program. they only took the people who they thought "the living who was not worth life" ...
ReplyDeletei agree with whitney. and caila, i also think hitler should have killed himself since the same site i found that they killed non perfect babies that hitler was gay. and he killed gays. he also was defenently NOT perfect.
ReplyDeleteRyan I also agree with Whitney killing 16 million poeple shouldn't be allowed. killing people is not right and someone should of put a stop to it. It must be horrible to think that maybe you are going to die today...
ReplyDeleteCava, I completely agree. All these murders were unjust and gruesome. It really bums me out to think of all the families that were affected by this tradgedy. Hitler's views were twisted and the Jews did not deserve to die! I really hope we never have to deal with a mess like the Holocaust ever again!! :(
ReplyDeleteBesides Jews... Homosexuals, Jehovas Witnesses, disabled people, and Gypsies were persecuted. The Nazi believed that persecuting these people of type would racially and culturally purify Germany. In my opinion these actions were terrible and absolutley pointless. Why would someone ever want to kill another innocent human just because of their beliefs, lifestyle, and genetic disabilities? Lets just hope history doesnt repeat itself! The Sterilization Program was the process and belief in which men and women under went surgery that prevented them from reproducing. For men, this surgery was called a Vesectomy, for women it was known as Tubal Ligation. The people who were forced to undergo this process were the disabled, brown hair, brown eyed people, also the deaf mutes and the blind. On May 7th, 1945 the Germans surrendured in World War II to the Soviet Union. This ended the persecution once and for all.
ReplyDeletein germany so many people were persicuted but most off them were homosexuals, jahovah wittnesses, gypsies, the disabled and some slavic and russin people. most of them were burned or sent to gas chambers,or shot, beat, punched intill they were badly injured or dead.
